RADBMX Shop Team
It's important to us to give back to the community and encourage the growth of BMX. We do this through sponsoring and organising events throughout the year and by supporting a team of riders. As we grow our team will too.
In alphabetical order, meet the team...
Sam Cunningham - James (Bruza) Ivett - Isaac Lesser - Paul Meacher - Billy Purcell - Denis Wingham - Lloyd Wright

Sam Cunningham
Sam is the result of our search for a local rider who we could nurture and support
through their BMX journey - and boy does Sam deliver. |
James (Bruza) Ivett
Bruza is a real riders rider - tech combined with power he always impresses, and added to that he is a top fella - never fails to make everyone he meets laugh. James rides for Mongoose UK team too so you'll normally find him in the mags and loads of edits. Check him out the the RADBMX Shop Tunnel Vision HERE
Isaac Lesser
One word describes Isaac; RAD. We've known Isaac almost as long as Billy and have always had a deep respect for his ability to push forward his riding and a top attitude to everyone around him.
A ROM local, Isaac has been riding for Zeal/Mankind for a over a year now and following the RADBMX Shop sponsored ROM Jam this year we finally got round to getting him on the shop team too. We're stoked and honored to have him on board.
Isaac has been having a brilliant year, with a 4-page 'Informer' feature in RIDE BMX Mag and an amazing 2nd place in the Simpel Session in Estonia (CLICK FOR VIDEO).
Isaac has truly established himself as one of the rising stars in BMX and one of the most affable people you'll ever meet. Isaac rocks. Check out this exclusive edit: ZEAL/DIG/RADBMX SHOP VIDEO
Paul Meacher
Paul was our first team member and an established star of the most extreme of all BMX disciplines - Vert. After winning Amateur Vert at the BMX Masters in Germany in 2006, Paul turned pro. He went on to place 9th Vert Pro in 2007 and an amazing 5th in 2008 - beating Daniel Dhers amongst other top names. I spoke to Mat Hoffman in 2007 about Paul and his words were "Man, your boy goes big!".
Paul travels Europe competiting and is by far the smoothest rider I've ever met, added to this he is a top man who simply loves BMX.

Billy Purcell
Billy is our hucker! Son of ROM 80's Fence jumping legend SuperBikeDan, BMX is in his blood - and his riding certainly reflects this. If ever there was a rider who can use the phrase 'go big or go home', it's young Bill. Always pushing himself and his bike to the limit. Street, ramps, park, whatever - Billy will hit it and ride it hard.
I first saw Billy ride back in 2005 at our secret Barn Ramp (RIP), he was one of the the first casualties of the ramp of stench when he broke his collar bone during an evening session. Since then his progression has just been amazing, driven by his own passion and his dad's dedication
John Dye at Bicycle Union also share the same belief in Billy and he is also rides on their flow team.
For us, Billy personifies BMX. Total 24/7 passion and the ability to rise above fashion and do it his way.
Denis Wingham
The original 'Body Bag', Denis needs no introduction. He's been around since the birth of freestyle and was the first rider in the UK ever to pull a backflip in competition back in the 80's. Since then he has been innovating and riding hard, including the accolade of becoming the first rider in world to prove that a front flip was possible and land it clean.
At 40ish (cough), Denis still rides every single day and has restarted competition riding as well as a regular place within the Team Extreme demos.
We love Denis. He's a nutter. Never scared to try anything and owns a bike so bright that Aaron Ross wouldn't even ride it. With that mindset we just had to have him on the team.
